Through this "Disaster Recovery Leadership Program," you can sponsor talented young Japanese to become entrepreneurial disaster recovery leaders and energize their work reconstructing the Tohoku region in Japan. These young leaders in their 20s and 30s from all over Japan will be sent to 50 projects for disaster relief and community and industrial revitalization.
Examples of such projects include: a community bus operation project and a project to create an association of food industries in the Eastern region of Japan. The Fellows in this Disaster Recovery Leadership Program must make full-time commitment for period of 3 months to 1 year. This can be made possible only with your financial support. Our goal is to sponsor Fellows who will become the leaders of next generation, and to generate 15,000 beneficiaries in community revitalization and 600 new jobs through industrial revitalization. Furthermore, this program cultivates social awareness and an entrepreneurial spirit in youth and the people around them, while taking advantage of their energy and ambition for long-lasting and effective development. This program has the potential to move past mere relief and progress and have a ripple effect towards social end economic development throughout Japan.

In Liberia, where the average life expectancy is 46 years old and the GDP is the 2nd lowest in the world, education can make all the difference. You can help provide girls (many orphans, street children, and former sex workers), with the educational tools they need to live better lives. Your support will provide a girl with a scholarship to attend school as well as with uniforms, books, supplies, and a matched mentor. Additionally, the girls learn proper nutrition, are provided with immunizations, and learn about disease transmission prevention as well as learn to read and write.

The cost of bringing in food to feed the entire school daily is a major expense for Yachana Foundation. You can help provide support to indigenous and mestizo students of rural communities in Ecuador's Amazon region by providing meals to all the students and faculty of the school at a very affordable cost. Your contribution of meals will help support programs that promote conservation of the Amazon's biodiversity through the support of the school's activities such as the teaching of sustainable use of natural resources, fostering of professional skills to improve employability, and mentoring management of student-run ecological enterprises.
