MADRE is working with partners in Northeastern Kenya to respond to the crisis in Somalia, providing urgent aid such as calorie-dense, nutritious food, emergency water supplies, health kits with medicines to fight diarrhea and infections and oral rehydration salts. They are also providing training for mothers to detect the signs of malnutrition in their children. With your help, MADRE can give its partners the resources to help them feed another baby and to keep another mother from grieving the loss.

TAF Academy is a public 6-12 grade school that prepares underserved children of color to graduate from high school on-time and college-ready to pursue degrees in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Academic support and enrichment opportunities are provided to all students and specialized attention is given to students in need of academic and language support. Your gift in support of TAF Academy's students will help TAF to continue to provide free educational opportunities for underserved children of color in Seattle.

You can help support Indigenous families impacted by hunger by providing long-term agricultural support. Your support for this project will help ensure long-term food sovereignty by offering organic seeds, farming tools and trainings, so that women are able to ensure access to a secure food supply for their families and communities.

By funding a student you will help provide talented yet vulnerable young men and women with the first family-like setting that many of them have known in their lives. 7-8 students share each house; they have overcome unimaginable obstacles in their lives, and the support they provide each other with in their homes is invaluable. The students have ambitious goals for their careers, and study a variety of fields, including medicine, law, and computer science. Whenever they get together at their houses, it feels more like a family gathering than a meeting of classmates. This important social support system helps new students during a profound adjustment period as they acquire life skills and begin their college careers—and it provides them with stability and a strong community for the duration of their studies.

Help Awamaki provide workshops to women weavers. These women come from Quechua-speaking indigenous communities in the remote Andean highlands. Most cannot speak Spanish, read or write. Your support helps Awamaki offer skills-building workshops that helps improve the quality of their weavings so they fetch a higher price. Your support also helps Awamaki offer training in financial management and leadership so that the women can manage their own cooperative membership, orders and communal savings fund.

Trees for the Future integrates tree-planting into agriculture and land restoration projects providing countless, sustainable benefits to our Earth and to the life upon it. Your donation to Roots & Wings International Computer Literacy program will provide introductory computer training for impoverished rural youth in rural Guatemala. The purpose of this program is to provide children an avenue to gain and access knowledge that will allow them to pursue employment beyond subsistence farming.

The tiny island of Kpala is home to several thousand Ghanaians who live without electricity and, for the most part, much opportunity. Following a well established and proven program, Empower Playgrounds Inc. (EPI) is working to install an electricity-generating merry-go-round for the public school which serves half of the island's youth. These systems provide  light for nighttime studies as well as hands-on science kits to enhance the quality of education these children receive while at school. You can help support EPI by providing an LED light or a hands-on science kit for students.
