You can help in the re-building process of Haiti in 30 communities that have been identified in and round Port-au-Prince where Project Concern can make the most impact with an integrated package of services. Re-building interventions include: meeting immediate sanitation needs through temporary latrines while working with communities to design and build community based and low-cost, permanent solutions to waste disposal; implementing mobile medical clinics in target communities in partnership with local NGOs and clinical providers; designing and building safe housing alternatives that allow families to stay close to home; and establishing “safe spaces” that provide supervised activities for children as well as counseling, nutrition and health monitoring, which also allow parents to seek out job opportunities.

New Hope for Cambodian Children (NHCC) adopts a multi-disciplinary approach in order to support and assist thousands of children infected with HIV and AIDS, and their affected families, throughout Cambodia. Your sponsorship will provide support to "Our Village, an 18 acre property located in Kampong Speu province that provides a full range of housing, nutritional, health and educational needs to orphaned and abandoned children currently infected with HIV/AIDS.

Help to educate women and girls in Afghanistan. This gift will help towards increasing female literacy rates in Afghanistan. You can sponsor a female student's education in either a lower level literacy course (called Sowat Amausi which literally means 'to teach one to become literate') or throughout her higher level literacy courses (called Sowat Hayati which translates to 'literate for life'). Lower level courses include an accelerated 10-month curriculum covering grades 1-3 and higher level courses cover grades 4-9 in six years.
