Many of these children have little access to fresh fruits and vegetables despite living in an agriculturally rich country, negatively impacting their physical development.

Onagawa Night School (ONS) is a part of Katariba’s Collaborative School program that was started after the devastating events of March 11, 2011. ONS employs local teachers and runs free after-school classes for children from Onagawa, Miyagi Prefecture. Many of these children lost their homes to the tsunami and live in evacuation centers and temporary housing. Your support will help them to attend ONS, receive a proper education, and inspire them to achieve their potential.

Students of Yachana Technical High School manage an organic farm, providing 40% of the school's food, but additional food and supplies have to be brought in. The cost of bringing in food to feed the entire school daily is a major expense for Yachana Foundation. You can help provide support to indigenous and mestizo students of rural communities in Ecuador's Amazon region by providing meals to all the students and faculty of the school at a very affordable cost. Your contribution of meals will help support programs that promote conservation of the Amazon's biodiversity through the support of the school's activities such as the teaching of sustainable use of natural resources, fostering of professional skills to improve employability, and mentoring management of student-run ecological enterprises.

Your gift to Nepal Youth Foundation (NYF) will help rescue Nepali children suffering from severe malnutrition. The project funds and manages Nutritional Rehabilitation Homes for severely malnourished children in Kathmandu and in rural areas of Nepal. The children and their mothers come to live at these centers, where NYF staff restores the child's health while educating the mother in child care, including preparation of nutritious meals, using foods readily available in rural Nepal. Once the child returns home, NRH field workers follow up to ensure the child’s health is being maintained.
