The Need
In Tanzania, over 5 million children are out of school and only 18% of girls have completed secondary school. Almost a quarter of all girls are mothers or pregnant between the ages of 15-19. Keeping girls in school is a major factor in countering the early marriage, early pregnancy pattern; continued schooling also increases the potential for girls to earn a better living, helping not only lift the girl out of poverty but benefit her family and community as well.
