Sponsor a Science-Themed Field Trip
You can make a school field trip possible for a class that would otherwise not have the opportunity to visit Pacific Science Center for hands-on science education and exploration. A field trip to Pacific Science Center includes many fun and educational activities including seeing a documentary IMAX film, planetarium show, Laser show, and access to all of our permanent exhibits.

The Need
As school budgets are cut, fewer classes are able to get out of the classroom and into new environments for hands-on learning. Last year, we offered school group assistance to 11,862 students and chaperones, reducing entrance fees to as low as $1.50, but for many schools, that was still too much money to pay. Educators have told us the need for reduced or free entry is essential in order to make any field trip possible for their students.
About Pacific Science Center
Partner since May, 2011
Pacific Science Center began as the United States Science Pavilion during the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. Millions came to explore the wonders of science during the World's Fair and upon closing ceremonies, the Science Pavilion was given new life as the private not-for-profit Pacific Science Center, becoming the first U.S. museum founded as a science and technology center. On July 22, 2010 Pacific Science Center was declared a City of Seattle Landmark. Pacific Science Center’s mission is to inspire a lifelong interest in science, math and technology by engaging diverse communities through interactive and innovative exhibits and programs.
