Help Educate Underserved Youth of Color in USA
TAF Academy is a public 6-12 grade school that prepares underserved children of color to graduate from high school on-time and college-ready to pursue degrees in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Academic support and enrichment opportunities are provided to all students and specialized attention is given to students in need of academic and language support. Your gift in support of TAF Academy's students will help TAF to continue to provide free educational opportunities for underserved children of color in Seattle.

The Need
Only about one-third of Washington 8th graders score "Proficient" or better on national math and science tests. That number falls below 25% for children of color. Technology Access Foundation believes that all students are natural learners, but without a strong educational foundation and a belief that learning can be fun, many students fall behind by 8th grade. Early interventions that provide access to educational opportunities and technology tools help children develop knowledge, confidence, and life skills to increase graduation rates and encourage them to seek higher educational opportunities.
