Promote Health Awareness in Kenya Through Soccer
You can sponsor one youth to participate in the annual Kick it with Kenya (KIWK) soccer tournament and leadership conference in Kenya. During the four day tournament/conference, the participant will receive room and board, soccer equipment, a health assessment and HIV test, medical care, leadership workshops, and the opportunity to participate in a fun community-building soccer event.

The Need
In impoverished rural communities in Kenya, children's lives are challenged by deadly diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV that devastate families. Gathering around funerals that happen all too often may offer the only opportunities for building communities. Promotion of public health awareness and preventative medical treatment are cost-effective ways for improving the health of children in rural Kenya. Last year out of the 564 youth tested, there were 34 that were HIV+ and were immediately put into treatment and counseling.
