The children supported by Children of Uganda have a simple, but nutritious diet of posho (porridge made with maize) and beans, supplemented occassionally with eggs, vegetables, and fruits.

In several communities, MADRE is working in collaboration with the Indigenous Information Network to install community water collection points or water collection tanks. For water collection points, we will construct barriers to protect the water sources from outside contaminants. The barriers have outlets to allow water to flow freely downstream and to be carried by pipes to the water collection points that are closer to villages and can be accessed any time of day. We will also develop watering troughs for animals to prevent erosion and environmental deterioration of the areas around clean water sources. For water collection tanks, MADRE will install the appropriate equipment to ensure a regular source of clean water for area schools. All of MADRE's clean water projects will be conducted in close consultation with community members, who will receive training on health, hygiene, and the maintenance of community water systems.

The All As One Medical Clinic provides much-needed medical assistance and treatment to all the children at the Children's Center. It also serves others in the community. The clinic has registered nurses on duty 24 hours a day and doctors who oversee the work of the clinic, intervening in serious cases. Your support can help provide medicine and related care for orphaned children in Sierra Leone.

MADRE is working with a group of Palestinian and Israeli midwives to help women safely deliver their babies. Your support of this project will help train and equip certified midwives in the West Bank to help women safely deliver their babies. Your gift can provide "safe birth" medical kits, portable ultrasound devices, pre-natal supplements or will support joint trainings for Israeli and Palestinian midwives.

Your support for this project will help ensure long-term food sovereignty by offering organic seeds, farming tools and trainings, so that women are able to ensure access to a secure food supply for their families and communities.

You can sponsor one youth to participate in the annual Kick it with Kenya (KIWK) soccer tournament and leadership conference in Kenya. During the four day tournament/conference, the participant will receive room and board, soccer equipment, a health assessment and HIV test, medical care, leadership workshops, and the opportunity to participate in a fun community-building soccer event.

Many of these children have little access to fresh fruits and vegetables despite living in an agriculturally rich country, negatively impacting their physical development.

New Hope for Cambodian Children (NHCC) adopts a multi-disciplinary approach in order to support and assist thousands of children infected with HIV and AIDS, and their affected families, throughout Cambodia.
