DST aims to reduce panhandling, clean and beautify the downtown area, and give homeless people the opportunity to work. You can support DST's job searching workshops for team members to transition their employment status to a more permanent job.

Jubilee's program offers personalized, holistic services and connects women to the community resources they need to become self-sufficient. Jubilee's care managers meet women where they are at, offering support, encouragement and coaching. You can help support this program by sponsoring work clothing for a homeless women or individualized counseling to a resident to create a success plan: short-term goals that help build a road map for long-term change.

TAF Academy is a public 6-12 grade school that prepares underserved children of color to graduate from high school on-time and college-ready to pursue degrees in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Academic support and enrichment opportunities are provided to all students and specialized attention is given to students in need of academic and language support. Your gift in support of TAF Academy's students will help TAF to continue to provide free educational opportunities for underserved children of color in Seattle.

Prior to lending out microloans to low-income families, Washington CASH provides supportive community business training and capital to help individuals with limited financial resources to gain self-sufficiency through small business ownership. Your support of Washington CASH can help improve the economic conditions of Seattle's lower income population.

Downtown Streets Team empowers the homeless population of Palo Alto through a work-first model that provides job opportunities and one-on-one assistance to the homeless. You can support a new transitional housing facility for team members who are looking to get off the streets permanently.

You can be the spark that inspires a child to pursue a career in science!   You can help bring science to life for low income and minority youth by sponsoring participation in the Ron McNair Camp-In, a private, overnight event at Pacific Science Center in partnership with Blacks in Science. At the Ron McNair Camp-In, low income and minority youth explore everything Pacific Science Center has to offer. Campers will experience all of the science exhibits with the help of trained science interpreters; participate in a hands-on science inquiry workshop taught by carefully selected teachers; see a planetarium show and live science stage show; and enjoy an educational IMAX® movie.

You can help promote literacy and careers in journalism and photojournalism, while providing a creative outlet and public voice for the youth of Issaquah and the surrounding region by supporting "The Beat" project of Ashoka Youth Venture Seattle. "The Beat" has partnered with The Issaquah Press to publish a monthly teen page in the newspaper that is written, photographed, and illustrated by youth, for youth.

Jolkona is largely powered by a volunteer staff and team of 20-something and 30-something young professionals who are all passionate about changing the way this generation gives back. You can help sponsor a weekend strategy session and support Jolkona volunteer development.
