Educational Empowerment (EE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to an educational environment in Myanmar that improves children's future economic opportunites and affords them fundamental reading skills. With your help, libraries in rural kindergartens will receive a selection of Myanmar script children's books, locally produced and tailor made to meet the needs of these early readers. With your help, Burmese children will be introduced to the joy of reading and teachers will be provided the tools to promote active learning.
Promote Student Engagement with Rural Japan
You can help sponsor one student to participate in One Life Japan’s personal, life-changing experiential learning program to inspire and support people to live a healthy, conscious and sustainable life and to drive more positive change in their community. Your donation will provide assistance to international students from developing nations to attend study programs in rural Japan. Students will be given the opportunity to attend learning programs in off-site, rural Japan villages where they will gain unique perspectives on Japanese society, while sharing their own perspectives with rural leaders and students.

Help Japanese Nonprofits Receive Tax Exempt Status
You can help grow and energize the non-profit sector in Japan by supporting Coalition for Legislation to Support Citizens’ Organizations (C’s). As a leading advocate for the nonprofit sector in Japan, C's provides practical trainings for Japanese organizations to understand the criteria and process to secure tax exempt status, and thus have access to charitable giving. Unfortunately, the process for becoming tax-exempt status is complicated and cumbersome. Without these seminars, many nonprofit organizations will be unable to navigate the voluminous paperwork and bureaucratic hurdles in the process. This is both an important barrier and leverage point for large-scale change in Japanese civil society.
