In Liberia, where the average life expectancy is 46 years old and the GDP is the 2nd lowest in the world, education can make all the difference. You can help provide girls (many orphans, street children, and former sex workers), with the educational tools they need to live better lives. Your support will provide a girl with a scholarship to attend school as well as with uniforms, books, supplies, and a matched mentor. Additionally, the girls learn proper nutrition, are provided with immunizations, and learn about disease transmission prevention as well as learn to read and write.

You can support members of a textile cooperative in the slums of Bogota, Colombia by providing them with the tools necessary to connect them to international markets that pay fair wages for quality craftsmanship. This initiative helps create a sustainable system of income generation and community solidarity in Colombia's poorest neighborhoods. Your donations would be used to purchase sewing supplies for the Concazucoop Sewing Cooperative to help them increase their production capacity and offer more products to the market. These supplies include cloth, thread, scissors, and other sewing tools.

You can help provide high school education to self-motivated and financially needy boys and girls who have graduated from Barakat Pakistan schools. Each sponsorship will open new opportunities in terms of income-generation and will help to break the cycle of poverty for the student and future generations. First preference will be given to Afghan refugee girls in Pakistan because of the unique challenges and cultural opposition they face in getting an education.
