Help bring science education to schools throughout Washington state by sponsoring Pacific Science Center's Science On Wheels program. The program's goal is to enhance science education and inspire life-long learning by bringing in classroom lessons, exciting live demonstrations and hands-on exhibit areas to schools, many of which lack the funding and/or access to inspire their students through field trips to science centers and museums.

By funding a student you will help provide talented yet vulnerable young men and women with the first family-like setting that many of them have known in their lives. 7-8 students share each house; they have overcome unimaginable obstacles in their lives, and the support they provide each other with in their homes is invaluable. The students have ambitious goals for their careers, and study a variety of fields, including medicine, law, and computer science. Whenever they get together at their houses, it feels more like a family gathering than a meeting of classmates. This important social support system helps new students during a profound adjustment period as they acquire life skills and begin their college careers—and it provides them with stability and a strong community for the duration of their studies.

You can help provide a variety of seasonal fresh produce such as bananas, oranges, watermelon, papaya, apples, mangoes or "tunas", a cactus fruit native to Mexico, to school children in the orphanage. With your help, Friends of Orphans will help more than 500 children enjoy fruit as a snack or with their meals everyday.

TAF Academy is a public 6-12 grade school that prepares underserved children of color to graduate from high school on-time and college-ready to pursue degrees in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Academic support and enrichment opportunities are provided to all students and specialized attention is given to students in need of academic and language support. Your gift in support of TAF Academy's students will help TAF to continue to provide free educational opportunities for underserved children of color in Seattle.

Potters for Peace (PFP) plans to add more kilns to communities in Nicaragua using local materials and labor. You can help this effort of preserving the cultural tradition of pottery-making and helping to provide a source of income for these poor artisans by sponsoring the installation of a fuel-efficient kiln for a community.

The goal of this project is to provide needed school supplies and personal items for blind children in Nepal by distributing useful backpacks. In cooperation with the Nepal Association for the Welfare of the Blind or 'NAWB', 'Backpacks for the Blind & Visually-Impaired' will be distributed to needy children who will be identified by NAWB. You can help empower these needy children by providing them with these specialized backpacks. The backpacks will contain a folding white cane, an abacus and math kit for the blind, a Braille slate with stylus, either a talking watch or Braille watch, and a Braille ruler.

You can help improve literacy rates and empower future leaders in India by sponsoring a child's school expenses in one of five schools or a junior college in Andhra Pradesh State. Your donation will help provide students with textbooks, uniforms, mid-day meals and a well-rounded education.

DST aims to reduce panhandling, clean and beautify the downtown area, and give homeless people the opportunity to work. You can support DST's job searching workshops for team members to transition their employment status to a more permanent job.
